Radiohead to score Twighlight soundtrack

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has expressed interest in writing the score for the forthcoming movie, The Twilight Saga: New Moon that is to be released in November.

Director Chris Weitz told Rotten Tomatoes that Kings of Leon had also been approached about contributing to the movies soundtrack.

“The criterion will still always be what’s right for the movie at that given moment, but Thom is interested,” Weitz said.

”We might, if we’re very lucky get the Kings Of Leon to do something.”

Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill has told EW that the band were to busy to contribute to the soundtrack at the moment.

“I would have to write a song in my hotel room, which I think we might could do, but I don’t know,” he said.

“As of right now I’m more focused on getting some rest and writing another Kings Of Leon album.”

New Moon is the second part of the four-part Twilight Saga, which tells the story of a vampire who falls in love with an ordinary schoolgirl.

The soundtrack to the first film featured songs by Muse, Paramore and Pattinson.

Kings Of Leon & Maximo Park forced to pull out of Benicassim

 Kings Of Leon

Kings Of Leon

Kings Of Leon and Maximo Park were both forced to pull their performances last night (July 17) at Benicassim due to bad weather.

Organisers pulled both shows and said in a statement, the weather was too extreme to continue.

Many fans were furious with the decision, resulting in many booing and leaving the site en masse.

Organisers are hoping to stage Kings Of Leon’s headline performance and Maximo Park’s show at the Spanish festival tomorrow (July 18).

The cancellation comes on a difficult day for the festival after a huge fire broke out earlier in the evening close to the festival.

Luckily Paul Weller carried on the event on the Escenario Verde stage with no interruptions.
