Oasis

Oasis

Oasis decided to stay in Spain after headlining the first night of the Benicassim festival on Thursday.

According to The Sun newspaper, the band reportedly delayed their departure on Friday to spend time with Paul Weller, who played the music festival last night. Despite a huge fire near to the festival grounds.

A source said: “Oasis’s equipment flew out straight away. But Liam and Noel decided not to accompany it. Liam has repeatedly said what a good time he is having and decided to turn the trip into a mini-holiday.

The insider added: “Paul is one of Liam’s heroes and he was gutted he thought he was going to miss his set.”

Liam Gallagher commented on his Twitter page that he went to see Paul Weller last night and it was a top gig as always.

Oasis are due to play at the Gurten Festival in Switzerland tonight.

Kings Of Leon & Maximo Park forced to pull out of Benicassim

 Kings Of Leon

Kings Of Leon

Kings Of Leon and Maximo Park were both forced to pull their performances last night (July 17) at Benicassim due to bad weather.

Organisers pulled both shows and said in a statement, the weather was too extreme to continue.

Many fans were furious with the decision, resulting in many booing and leaving the site en masse.

Organisers are hoping to stage Kings Of Leon’s headline performance and Maximo Park’s show at the Spanish festival tomorrow (July 18).

The cancellation comes on a difficult day for the festival after a huge fire broke out earlier in the evening close to the festival.

Luckily Paul Weller carried on the event on the Escenario Verde stage with no interruptions.
